St. Augustine’s proposed 5,000 seat stadium

St. Augustine’s College has proposed building a 5,000 seat stadium on its property, seeking Council approval. In 2004, the college was granted a Special Use Permit for a much smaller facility but has opted recently to pursue a larger one. Residents in the surrounding neighborhoods have concerns about the impact such a stadium will have on the community.

Here is a link to the special use permit, SU-1-2011. Here is a Draft Traffic Impact Analysis report [PDF]. You can also read the track update sent out yesterday by St. Augustine’s president, Dr. Suber.

Update: The documents from the previous special use permit are here.

Update 29 June: Here are the figures that were omitted from the draft TIA report.
